How do I view cardholder details in the Web Card Reader?
An Access Controller or Spot Checker can view a cardholder’s details from the Swipes tab in the Web Card Reader.
This instruction applies to the following RIW System User Roles:
- Access Controller
- Spot Checker
Step 1: Log in to the RIW System
Go to https://app.riw.net.au click on the Web Card Reader link, or alternatively, go direct to the Web Card Reader at https://cardchecker.riw.net.au/login.

Step 2: Accessing Web Card Reader
Follow the instructions for initialising the Web Card Reader in the RIW Knowledge Centre Article How to use the Web Card Reader, as these steps can be quite detailed for first time use.
Step 3: Swipes tab
To view a cardholders details, select the Swipes tab from the top menu. Cardholders that have swiped in/out using the Web Card Reader will display.
The All tab is selected by default, but the In or Out tab can be selected, if preferred. This will filter the results to only include swipe ins or swipe outs, respectively:
Click on a specific cardholder record.
Mobile View
On the Swipes history screen, to view more details about the cardholder, touch the information icon on the relevant record to view the cardholder’s employer, job role and location of the swipe or touch anywhere else to view additional cardholder details.
Step 4: Selected cardholder
The cardholder's profile will appear.
Use the scrollbar to view further details which are not visible on the initial screen.
Mobile View
Competencies and job roles can be viewed via the tabs on the top banner. Swipe left to view more competency categories.
Swipe up to view more details about the cardholder, which are not initially visible.
