Step 4: My Job Assessments section

This section allows assessors to list their assessments in the following categories:

  • Pending
  • Approved
  • Rejected

Each of the shortcuts will take the assessor to a different listing for management of work.

Pending Job Role Assessments shortcut

Select this shortcut to view a list of any job roles submitted to the Assessor for assessment by companies.  Please refer to the RIW Knowledge Centre article How does an Assessor manage a job role assessment? for more information.

When an Employer Administrator submits an assessment for the Assessor to review, they will receive an email confirmation of the request with a link to the individual whose job role requires assessment. The email will include contact details for the Employer Administrator who submitted the request.

Note: Only the records of cardholders which have been emailed to you can be accessed.

Access to such cardholders’ profile is possible either via the link in the relevant email or by logging in and viewing the Pending Assessment shortcut, where all assessments submitted for review can be found. To refine the list displayed, use the Search function to locate an individual cardholder with a Pending Assessment by entering a cardholder’s RIW number or by entering a date to find a list of cardholders with pending assessments sent to you for review since the specified date.

Approved Job Role Assessments shortcut

This menu can used to see the formerly approved job role assessments.

Rejected Job Role Assessments shortcut

What happens if a job role assessment is cancelled?

An Employer Administrator has the ability to cancel a job role assessment submission. If this is the case, the allocated Assessor will immediately be notified via email and the job role assessment record will disappear from the Pending Assessment view.

For more information on how this is performed by an Employer Administrator, refer to the RIW Knowledge Centre article How does a company cancel a job role assessment?

What is an automatic cancellation of a job role assessment?

The RIW System will automatically cancel any pending job role assessment if one of the following conditions is met:

  • One of the cardholder’s mandatory competencies is deleted by an Employer Administrator or expires.
  • There are no more competencies valid to comply to one of group requirements (e.g. either L1, L2, L3 required, L1 only provided on cardholder’s profile, L1 expires).

The automatic cancellation will occur overnight via a system batch checking the competencies of cardholders that have pending job role assessments.

If one of the above conditions is met, the job role assessment will be removed from the Assessor’s list and both the Assessor and Employer Administrator will be notified via email.

What reports are available to Assessors?

The RIW System has been configured with reports that provide information for Assessors to manage their work.

This instruction applies to the following RIW System User Roles:

  • Assessor

Step 1: Log in to the RIW System

Go to https://app.riw.net.au and login using your credentials.

Step 2: Reports tab

Click on the Reports tab located in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Step 3: Existing Reports shortcut

Click on the Existing Reports shortcut.

Step 3: Reports Listing

Reports that have been configured for Assessors will be listed and available to run.  Click on the report name to run the report.

The Role Library and Corresponding Competency Grouping Report surfaces the required competencies that make up a job role.  For example, the TfNSW - Operator job role must contain the one of the following to be valid. This is useful for Assessors to understand whether the cardholder has met the job role competency requirements when submitted for assessment.
