This article outlines the notifications sent to users of the RIW eLearning portal. These notifications provide important information about account setup, course assignments, payment confirmations, and password resets.




Activate You RIW eLearning Account - Action Required

Purpose: Sent when a new RIW eLearning account is created.


Key Details:

  • Users must set up their account by creating a password.
  • The account username is either the RIW number (for cardholders) or the email address provided.
  • This login is separate from the myRIW account used for managing RIW profiles.
  • The password setup link is valid for 7 days.


Action Required: Follow the link in the email to set up your password. 




RIW eLearning Course Assigned - Action Required

Purpose: Sent when a course is assigned to a user.


Key Details:

  • Includes the course name and a direct link to access it.
  • Explains why completing the course is important (job role or compliance requirements).
  • Provides instructions for logging in using RIW eLearning platform credentials (not myRIW credentials).
  • Once completed, certificates are automatically uploaded to the user's RIW profile.


Action Required: Log in via the provided link and complete the course by any applicable deadline.




RIW eLearning Payment Confirmation

Purpose: Sent after purchasing an eLearning course requiring payment.


Key Details:

  • Confirms purchase details, including receipt number, transaction number, and receipt date
  • Includes tax invoice information (e.g., GST breakdown and total paid).
  • Provides instructions for accessing purchased courses and downloading invoices via "My Orders."


Action Required: Review purchase details and access your course via the provided link.




Password Reset Request for Your RIW eLearning Account

Purpose: Sent when a password reset request is initiated by the user or an administrator.


Key Details:

  • Includes a link to reset your password (valid for 20 minutes).
  • Explains actions to take if you did not initiate the request.
  • Provides contact details for assistance with unexpected password reset emails.


Action Required: Use the link to reset your password if needed.
