Power BI Employer Dashboards & Reports (Early Access) - How to Access and Use
The RIW Power BI Employer Report is an advanced reporting and analytics tool providing interactive dashboards across a wide range of workforce data areas. It is accessed directly within the RIW System - no separate Microsoft Power BI licence is required.
The Power BI Employer Report is currently available to selected organisations as part of an Early Access Program, expected to be generally available in August 2026. If you do not yet have access, refer to Power BI Employer and Network Manager Dashboards & Reports - Early Access Program for details on how to request it.
Accessing the Report
| Step | Action |
|---|---|
| 1 | Log in to the RIW System at app.riw.net.au. |
| 2 | Navigate to Reports in the top navigation menu. |
| 3 | Select Power BI Reports from the submenu. |
If Power BI Reports does not appear in your Reports menu, your account may not yet have been approved for access. Email info@riw.net.au to request access.
What Data Is Visible
The report displays data based on your RIW user permissions. Data visibility depends on the relationship between workers and your organisation:
| Worker Relationship | Visibility in Report |
|---|---|
| Primary workers | Visible across most report pages |
| Secondary workers | Visible across most report pages |
| Associated workers | Visible on most pages - Medical and D&A data not visible |
| Workers linked by swipe (CIC sites) | Workers and Swipes pages only - Medical, D&A and Cards data not visible |
Report data is refreshed hourly from the RIW System. The date and time of the last refresh is shown in the top-left of each report page. For compliance or access decisions, verify a worker's current status directly in the live RIW System.
Report Pages
The Employer Report contains the following pages, accessible from the left-hand navigation panel:
| Report Page | What it shows |

Navigating and Filtering
Each report page includes filters and slicers in the left-hand panel. You can filter by project, site, worker relationship, date range and more. Clicking on a chart element cross-filters all other visuals on the same page. Use the Clear Filters button (top-left of each page, next to the RIW logo) to reset all filters to their default state.
In most data tables, each worker row includes a link icon - clicking it opens the worker's full record directly in the RIW System.
To export a data table, hover over it, click the three dots (…) in the top-right corner, and select Export data.
First check whether filters are set to "All" and use Clear Filters to reset. If data is still missing after the next refresh cycle, contact info@riw.net.au.
