Power BI Network Manager Dashboards & Reports (Early Access) - How to Access and Use
The RIW Power BI Network Manager Report is an advanced reporting and analytics tool providing interactive dashboards across workforce compliance, site access activity, job role and competency holdings, and swipe behaviour for all employers and workers operating within your network. It is accessed directly within the RIW System - no separate Microsoft Power BI licence is required.
The Power BI Network Manager Report is currently available to selected organisations as part of an Early Access Program, expected to be generally available in August 2026. If you do not yet have access, refer to Power BI Employer and Network Manager Dashboards & Reports - Early Access Program for details on how to request it.
This article applies to the following RIW System user roles: Network Manager, Network Manager - Read Only

| 2 | Navigate to Reports in the top navigation menu. |

What Data Is Visible
The report displays data in accordance with your RIW Network Manager user permissions. You will see data for all workers linked to projects and sites within your network - regardless of which employer they are primarily employed by. This includes:
- All workers who hold a current network job role or competency within your network
- Workers who have swiped into any site or project operating under your network
- Job role and competency holdings at National, Network, Employer, Project, Site and Zone levels
- Card, swipe, shift, travel and breathalyser records for workers within your network
The Network Manager report shows data across all employers and workers operating within your network. This is a broader view than the Employer report, which is restricted to workers linked to a specific employer account.
Report data is refreshed hourly from the RIW System. The date and time of the last refresh is shown in the top-left of each report page. For compliance or access decisions, verify a worker's current status directly in the live RIW System.
Report Pages
The Network Manager Report contains the following pages, accessible from the left-hand navigation panel:
| Report Page | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Top-level | Network-wide snapshot - worker counts, top network job roles, breathalyser activity, denial rates, shift volumes and most recently accessed sites and projects |
| Comparisons | Job role and competency validity compared across projects and network owners - useful for pre-mobilisation compliance checks and audits |
| Worker Locations | Geographic view of where workers live and where they have been swiping in, across Australia and New Zealand, combined with job role and competency data |
| Shifts | Shift duration analysis by project and site, including identification of long shifts exceeding 12 and 24 hours - relevant for fatigue management monitoring |
| Workers | Detailed worker listing with eligibility, card validity, subscription status, medical level, current network and top primary employers - navigation hub for drilling into worker detail |
| Job Roles | Network job roles held by workers - top roles by volume, current and historical holdings, validity and suspension status |
| Competencies | Competencies awarded across the network, validity, expiry dates and upcoming expiries (30, 60 and 90-day views) across all employers |
| Cards | Physical and virtual RIW card status and issuance history across all employers in the network |
| Swipes | Swipe events, outcomes, trends, deny reasons and near-real-time on-site worker view across all network sites |
| Breathalyser | Breathalyser test records by site and project across the network |
| Travel | Worker travel time to and from site by project and contractor, based on self-nominated travel hours recorded at sign-in |
| Help | Built-in reference guide to the report - features, filters, drill-down instructions and user permissions panel showing linked network accounts |
The Network Manager Report does not include Medicals, D&A, Work Restrictions, Risk Assessments or Allocated Items pages. The Workers page includes a Top Primary Employers chart and a Current Network column not present in the Employer report. Drill-through from the Workers page is available for Job Roles, Competencies, Cards and Swipes only.
Navigating and Filtering
Each report page includes filters and slicers in the left-hand panel. You can filter by project, site, primary employer, worker relationship, date range and more. Clicking on a chart element cross-filters all other visuals on the same page. Use the Clear Filters button (top-left of each page, next to the RIW logo) to reset all filters to their default state.
In most data tables, each worker row includes a link icon - clicking it opens the worker's full record directly in the RIW System.
To export a data table, hover over it, click the three dots (...) in the top-right corner, and select Export data.
A link to the RIW Knowledge Centre is also available in the left-hand navigation panel within the report.
First check whether filters are set to "All" and use Clear Filters to reset. If data is still missing after the next refresh cycle, contact info@riw.net.au.
