How can a Rail Industry Worker update their notification preferences in myRIW?


This article details how a Rail Industry Worker can update their communication preferences for RIW System notifications in myRIW.


This instruction applies to the following user roles:

  • Rail Industry Worker (myRIW)

Go to https://app.riw.net.au/MySkillGuard/Account/LogOn and log in using your credentials.

Click on Manage My Account.

Click on Change Notification Preferences.

On the Change Notifications Preferences screen, a Rail Industry Worker can update their notification preferences such as:

  • Toggle on/off if Company Messages (in Vircarda) are allowed. This is strongly recommended for your work protection and safety.
  • Toggle on/off if Employment and Association Requests (in Vircarda) are allowed.
  • Choose Do not send, Email, Vircarda, or Email and Vircarda from the drop down boxes for:
    • Subscription expiries
    • Competency expiries
    • Medical expiries
    • Job role leave date and validity 



Click Save changes when complete.
